The Sonder Detail Scrapbooks is a library of construction details and assemblies organized into LayOut scrapbooks that you can drag and drop into your LayOut documents to create detail drawing packages.
Fully customizable, each scrapbook includes one or more embedded SketchUp models that you can customize to your own needs. This collection of assets was crafted by architect Nick Sonder over the course of more than a decade using SketchUp and LayOut exclusively in his practice.

Does it take you too much time to complete projects in SketchUp?
You are probably including too much detail in your main model. Instead, you should strive to keep your main project model as lightweight as possible, and instead, use "detail models" to illustrate the fine details of assemblies and installation procedures.
What is a detail model?
A detail model is a separate SketchUp model that captures only a small part of a project, but at a much higher level of detail than in the main project model. They allow you to be more creative in how you illustrate the different layers of an assembly, and they allow you to keep your main model at a much lower level of detail which makes it much faster to model and easier to make changes.
Using detail models will drastically reduce the amount of time you spend on your projects.
Detail models can be reused on many projects, since their scope is limited to a typical design occurrence.
With the Sonder Detail Scrapbooks, we've taken it a step further by creating a complete scrapbook library, where the models are already configured in a viewport, fully annotated with labels, so all you need to do is drag and drop them into your LayOut document.
Embedded models
Each scrapbook contains one or more embedded SketchUp models that you can open and customize as needed. Each model contains several variations for you to choose from in the scrapbook. For example, the exterior window details have different siding and trim options that can be toggled using tags.
Organized
Complete models, with labeled groups and components and scenes already configured. Not only that, but the scrapbooks have the details fully annotated with labels already attached.
Each set of details is organized into a multi-page scrapbook prefixed by "SD", so you can easily find them in your scrapbook drop-down menu. Just select the scrapbook from the dropdown menu, then browse each page to find the detail you need.

How it works
Using the Sonder detail scrapbook library is easy. After purchase, you will be able to download the library instantly.
To install, you just go to LayOut and click on Edit > Preferences > Folders, and add the library to the scrapbooks folder list.
Then, in any LayOut document, just open the Scrapbooks panel, click on the detail you want to insert, and place it on the page.
Configure the detail if needed, it's completely customizable. Turn off parts of the model, add or remove labels, change the perspective, it's all up to you.
If you need to do some extensive customizations, right-click on the model and select Open with SketchUp. Any changes made will only affect this copy, your library detail won't be affected.

Requirements
In order to use the Sonder Detail Scrapbooks, you'll need SketchUp Pro 2020 for either Mac or Windows. It will not work with older versions of SketchUp.
